Rooms

The farmhouse has six rooms; each built in the architectural style of Maremman castles and fitted with a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, a TV, heating and air conditioning for summer. Every room is named after one of the flowers in the poem “Flowers of Bach” and are beautifully furnished and decorated following that theme.

The colors and furniture in each room were specifically chosen to match the name and the flowers in Bach’s charming poem.

“Water Violet”

Violet

“For those who prefer to be alone. They are very tranquil people, who don’t like attention, rarely speak and are so kind. Independent, they have confidence in themselves and are free from the opinions of others. Their calm and serenity are a blessing for those who surround them.” (E. Bach)

Like the flower, the principal colour of this room is a deep blue. Overlooking the surrounding valley, the room provides guests the opportunity to enjoy the incredible sunset as it spills over the mountains of the Argentario.

“Gentian”

gentian

“For those who easily lose heart. They are happiest in their daily rhythm but even the slightest delay or hindrance generates hesitation in them and causes forgetfulness and confusion. Allow me the reason to doubt.” (E. Bach)

Like the flower, the predominant colour is a rich bordeaux and like the Violet room, it overlooks the surrounding valley, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful sun as it sets over the mountains of Argentario.
“Cerato”

cerato

“For those who do not have enough confidence in themselves to make their own decisions. The personality of Cerato is expressed in their desire to be guided. The consequence of this delegation is the uncertainty of their intuition, which causes them to lose their direction and triggers doubt. But you, what would you have done?” (E. Bach)

The Junior Suite Room is 40m² and divided into two levels: the upper level has one double bed and one single bed placed in a loft, which lets guests admire the stars from their beds. In the lower floor living room there is a double bed sofa, TV and bathroom, all of which overlooks a 20m² outdoor terrace with an umbrella and table.

“Wild rose”

wild rose

“For those who resign themselves to everything that happens and glide through life taking things as they are, without making any effort to improve or find a bit of joy. They surrender themselves to the adversities of life without complaining.” (E. Bach)

This aqua green coloured room is divided into two levels: a sleeping section with a private bathroom in the upper loft and a first floor living room. It is located in the section of the farmhouse where we also live.

“Star of Betlemm”

star

“It’s the flower of trauma, of injury, of inconsolability.” (E. Bach)

The Star of Betlemm is a beautiful fusion of old and new. It is made up of an old arch, built in the 9th century and the new bed built in the local style. Located in the eastern section of the castle it has a door which leads directly into the garden and is ideal for those who have children.

“Gorse”

gorse

“For cases of great despair. These people have renounced the idea that something can still be done for them. There is nothing to do……” (E. Bach)

Gorse like the Star of Betlemm room is located on the eastern section of the castle, with a door which leads directly into the garden. The main colour is bordeaux.
